What’s your relationship with boundaries?
Back in 2019, I didn’t have any boundaries; honestly, I wasn’t even aware of it. It meant for others to have access to me, my time, and my energy all the time. What woke me up was a powerful coaching session where my coach raised my awareness that I didn’t have any boundaries and needed to implement some asap! Does that sound familiar to you?
Boundaries to find a healthy balance in life
Honestly, I didn’t even know what boundaries meant. The word alone sounded harsh, and I didn’t want to put a separation between me and my loved ones. However, over the years, I learnt more about boundaries and what they meant on different levels: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and energetic.
I realised that I needed to set boundaries to find a healthy balance in my life. What a journey!
Setting limits is an act of self-love
You give yourself the message: I deserve my time, energy and love.
Having healthy boundaries in my life supports me to be a compassionate, loving, honest, genuine and authentic woman, wife, business owner, space holder, daughter, sister, and friend.
Furthermore, it means keeping the balance between being there for others and also for myself and filling my cup first.
To be a safe container and space holder for others and yourself, you need to take care of yourself and look after yourself.
A loving act towards others and the planet.
By taking care of yourself, you feel better. Consequently, you can be more present, uplifting, and honest with others. It is a win-win situation.
Everybody benefits from you taking care of yourself.
